Who We Are Looking For
A licensed therapist who:
Is a self-starter and passionate about working with Black mothers and their families.
Has training and experience using culturally affirming therapeutic techniques.
Has training and experience supporting clients through racial trauma, traumatic birthing experiences, perinatal depression and anxiety, and a variety of other mental and relational health concerns.Â
Has a master’s degree in a mental health discipline. Family therapy training is ideal.
Licensed to practice independently in New Jersey (LMFT, LPC, and LCSW).
Has 2-5+ years experience providing therapy to woman and diverse populations.
Private practice experience is a plus.Â
Your responsibilities:
Maintain a caseload of at least 15-20 clients per week with at least 1-2 evenings, weekends optional.
Complete clinical documentation within 24-72 hours.Â
Access to a secure Wifi connection for teletherapy sessions as this is a fully remote position.
Maintain professional licensure and adequate insurance for professional liability purposes.
About Therapy For Black Moms
Therapy for Black Moms is a teletherapy practice in New Jersey dedicated to supporting the mental and relational health of Black Mothers from pregnancy to empty nest and everything in between. We provide high quality, culturally affirming therapeutic services to support and empower the unique experiences of Black moms as they work through many chronic stressors, defining and redefining themselves as mothers, partners, and individuals. We also support Black moms as they work through a wide variety of other mental health concerns including healing from racial trauma and traumatic birthing experiences, managing and coping with depression, anxiety, and a variety of other mental and relational health concerns.
